The Island of Corfu

Die Bucht von BarbatiCharming beaches, the beautiful fauna and flora and the cultural heritage are just some reasons why Corfu is always worth visiting.  Even the famous empress of Austria Sissi appreciated the green pearl of Greece as her holiday destination. Corfu’s unique diversity seduces our regular guests to return since decades in order to continuing exploring the marvellous island.
The different cultural influences and the rich vegetation are only some reasons why Corfu is such a distinguishable Island in Greece. The strong Italian (Venetian) and French influence had a remarkable impact on the landscape and architecture of the island. Everyone who is drifting through the narrow alleys of the old town will immediately notice the Venetian architecture. The famous Espianada square is the social center of the old town and owed to the French. Naturally the beauty of Corfu does not stem only from its culture but also from its magnificent beaches with their crystal clear water.
